More About My Story
Hi, I’m Jennifer Ellis, founder of Still Becoming Therapy. I’m a therapist, a mom, and a firm believer that none of us are ever “finished”, we’re all still becoming. I created this practice because I know how easy it is to lose pieces of yourself when life changes. My hope is to give you space to come back to yourself, or to get to know who you are now, in all the shifts and changes life brings. To feel strong, to feel whole, and to know that hope is still here, even when it’s hard to see.
For over 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through many phases of life, from childhood and adolescence into the challenges of adulthood. Along the way, I’ve walked with clients as they navigated anxiety, grief, relationship stress, and the search for identity and balance in the middle of it all. Over time, through both personal experiences and the work I’ve naturally gravitated toward, I found my place in supporting and bringing awareness to perinatal mental health. To deepen this work, I pursued advanced training and earned certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). My passion for walking alongside expectant and new parents comes from seeing how often this transition into parenthood is misunderstood and dismissed. Too often, medical providers overlook the emotional impact of pregnancy and postpartum, and society tells us to “push through” while minimizing our struggles. But the truth is: the shifts in our mental health during this chapter of life can feel utterly disorienting, and you deserve to have that normalized, honored, and supported.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and real. I believe therapy is about growth, helping you feel supported and reconnected to the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost or are just beginning to emerge. Whether you are navigating parenthood, adjusting to new life circumstances, or simply trying to find your footing in the midst of change, together we’ll make space for both the hard stuff and the hope.
